Yerf-dog  Parts

History

Yerf-dog was introduced by a man named "Godfrey" ("Yerf-dog" is "Godfrey" spelled backwards).  There were originally a few real dealers, but most were sold through mass-merchants, and many of the original dealers quit selling them after a few years.  Parts were always a problem -- we ordered a part for someone and it took almost 3 months and many phone calls to get it, so we quit trying.  Our website warned people about buying a go-kart from mass-merchants, primarily due to the lack of parts and service, but some people bought them, anyway.  Not only has Yerf-dog discontinued go-karts, they are no longer in business.

This kart is extremely unique to Yerf-dog.  With the exception of chain and tires, we are unable to get parts for this kart.  (Some people are substituting some Twister parts;  however, we make no claim as to the suitability of such parts, nor do we know which (if any) parts will substitute.    Twister diagrams may be found at:  http://www.reliablegokarts.net/parts.htm#Twister_Parts.)

We have never worked on, nor sold, Yerf-dogs.  We have no Yerf-dog manuals.  We have no references for model numbers or parts.  We DO NOT know the parts on that kart.

We do not know of anyone who stockpiled parts for them -- probably because parts were always too difficult to obtain.  One might search Buggy News for sources of parts for that kart.

"Regular" Style Go-karts with Lawnmower-style Engines

Some parts for these karts are unique, such as the spindles.  We do not have parts that were unique to Yerf-dog.  Others may be cross-referenced to similar parts by other manufacturers.  Please note that if you e-mail us, we do NOT know Yerf-dog model or part numbers, with the exception of the torque converter belts and a few cross-over parts below.  (Please note engine parts are readily available for these models, as they used Tecumseh engines, which are still in production.)
